Project Roast ("we", "us", "our"), operated by Roast Media Group, runs the website projectroastmusic.com and its lyric-video service ("ROAST STUDIO"). This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we handle it. Questions or requests: roastmediagroup@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Order details (ROAST STUDIO): when you build and buy a lyric video, we collect your name, email address, and the files you upload for your order — audio, cover artwork, lyrics, and (optionally) your logo — plus the choices you make in the builder (format, effects, etc.).
- Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details — Stripe handles them directly. We receive confirmation of the payment, the amount, and your email.
- Contact messages: if you email us or use a contact form, we receive your message and email address.
- Basic technical data: like most websites, our host may process standard request data (IP address, browser type) to serve pages and protect against abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
How we use it
- To create and deliver your lyric video, and to email you about your order (via Resend).
- To provide download links for your finished files (time-limited, private links).
- To respond to your messages and provide support.
- To operate, secure, and improve the site.
Who we share it with (service providers)
We use a small number of trusted providers purely to run the service:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Resend — sending order and delivery emails.
- Cloudflare — website hosting, storage of your order files, and security.
- Embedded players — pages may embed SoundCloud and YouTube players, and link to Ko-fi; these third parties may set their own cookies when their content loads. See their privacy policies.
Each provider only receives what it needs to do its job.
Google / YouTube API
Our own posting tool uses the YouTube Data API to upload videos to our own Project Roast channel. Where our use of the API involves information received from Google APIs, that use adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. This tool operates on our own account and does not access any visitor's Google or YouTube data.
TikTok API
Our own posting tool uses the TikTok Content Posting API to upload videos to our own Project Roast TikTok account (as drafts we then publish ourselves in the TikTok app). It operates only on our own account and does not access any visitor's TikTok data.
Data retention
- Order files (your uploads and finished videos) are kept only as long as needed to fulfil and support your order, then removed. Download links expire after 7 days.
- Order records (email, title, amount) are kept for our business and accounting records.
- You can ask us to delete your personal data at any time (see below).
Your rights
We are UK-based, and UK GDPR applies to how we handle your personal data. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you — just email roastmediagroup@gmail.com and we'll handle it.
Cookies
We keep cookies to a minimum and do not run advertising or analytics trackers. Any cookies set on our own pages are for the site to function. Embedded SoundCloud/YouTube players may set their own cookies when you interact with them.
Children
The service is intended for users 18 and over and is not directed at children.
Changes
We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date shows the latest version.
